The Starters:
We got the best of both worlds here. I kicked things off with the Nusr-Et Special Salad, which was incredibly fresh, crisp, and beautifully prepared with a perfect sweet and savory crunch. My fiancé went for the Nusr-Et Special Sushi (Sushi de Bœuf), which arrived beautifully rolled and looked like pure luxury on a plate.
The Mains: For our main courses, we went for the premium steak option cooked to absolute perfection. It was exceptionally juicy, tender, and served alongside a side of incredibly smooth, rich mashed potatoes that paired beautifully with the meat.
The Grand Finale: You cannot leave Nusr-Et without trying the Turkish Baklava. They serve it sweet, sticky, and flaky. It easily lived up to the hype and was the perfect way to wrap up a birthday lunch.
The Reality: Food Over Theatre
One important thing to note if you book the lunch special you don't get the over the top theatrical tableside performance that you see on social media. There are no dramatic steak slicing shows or flamboyant salt sprinkling routines at your table for the set menu.
But honestly that didn't ruin the experience at all, Instead of paying hundreds of pounds for the internet hype, we got world class cuts of meat, impeccable service, and a luxury dining environment starting at just £39 a head.
Continuing the Celebration: A Sweet Stop at Harrods
As incredible as the lunch was, we weren't quite ready for the birthday magic to end when we left the restaurant. Since we were right in Knightsbridge, we popped across the road into the legendary Harrods Food Halls to pick up a few extra treats to take home.We headed straight to the patisserie and bakery counters to curate our own birthday dessert box. We picked up a mini Victoria sponge, a few cute chocolate cupcakes, and a gorgeous coffee and caramel
